7- Description of applicant institution’s activities:
The main aim of the organization to uplift the rural backward and deprived classis and to make self-sufficient society. Organization working from 20 years with the close collaboration of community and assuring equal participation of women. The project and activities will be implemented in close collaboration with community
through constitution of village organization in selected villages, and target groups to be trained on different aspects. RUDSOVOT is also working for the issues natural resource management, wild life and forest conservation and micro credit etc.According to its observations tree cover has been depleted, soil erosion and damage have increased, water level has gone down, the severity of drought has increased, and ecological degradation of the area being greater than a few decades ago. However, in some area where RUDSOVOT is continuing in working the situation being changed positively. But in the area situation is worse as a whole and the degradation of environment in this rainfed area is basically attributable by the increasing biotic pressure on the fragile ecosystems in the absence of adequate investment and appropriate management practices to augment and conserve the land and water resources. Population growth and poverty on the one hand and the pressure of rising demand from affluence on the other have been exerting powerful pressure on the ecosystem.

The break down of traditional institutions for managing common property resources and the failure of new institutions to fill the vacuum has also been responsible for the denudation of natural resources. The traditional community based institutions have given place so far to individualized or market driven exploitation of natural resources without any regard for adverse externalities of such actions and to various official programs for the development of land and water resources which are dependent almost entirely on the top- down bureaucracy with very little participation from the village communities.

RUDSOVOT prepared 260 SHGs in the Sawai Madhopur District block Khandar, Bonli,Sawai Madhopur, Chouth Ka Barwada, for man and women the SHGs are working in micro level like carpet making, pickles, Chile powder, and some groups are growing vegetable these products sales near by market.

RUDSOVOT is working with the People participation in the field of soil & water conservation and management, watershed development, income generation activities, health & family welfare, Immunization, mother & child care environment improvement, live stock development, etc. All these activities are being implemented with the close collaboration of village community through village Semites for effective implementation of the program and to maintain the assets after completion of the program.
There are about 40 Non Governmental Organization working in Sawai Madhopur district (including Karoli) .But most of Ngo are running schools and issuing certificates some of these NGO are participating with the program’s of district rural development agency (DRDA) where most of the programmes either run or papers or the quality of the programmes is very poor some NGO”S have also been classifieds black listed.
Sawai Madhopur is a tribal Distract surrounded by hills. Word fame Ranthambore Tiger project situated here.Meena is the Mani tribal in the area 45% population belong to SC\ST due to tiger project and national park big industrial units are not given permission to function here. Most of the population is development upon crop and that to only one rabi crop taken by the villagers. Women literacy rate is very poor. in these circumstances to work with these people especially for work relating to banking and employment generation is very difficult. People working in the Govt/sami Govt./local body /banks etc. are only treated as employed and rest working in any field like agriculture, business self employment etc.classifed themselves as unemployed.

RUDSOVOT in these adverse conditions have done a tremendous work. in has conducted Rural Enterpreniship Development Program (REDP) so for assisted by SIDBI, NABARD,ect.the success rate of these programmes comes at 65% as most of the person whom training was given started own self-employment activities. Persuasion of RUDSOVOT is very strong. Some of the persons who participated in REDP IN 1995-96 are skill in touch with the to get their problem solved.

RUDSOVOT has also helped in recovery of dues of the banks. The convincing power of its chief executive is very impressive due to this God gift he turn the people in his favors and poodle like to listen him carefully He used his this skill to motivate the people to repay the bank due. He also tumid some of the notorious willful defaulters to good customers of the banks. is relation with banks is very cordial and harmonious. None of the banker as p knows is unhappy with him. His ever smiling face and good attitude always attract the banker to give and take help.

RUDSOVOT has formed 250 SHG,s also, Most of these SHG are of men and women. He generally attends meeting of all these groups. keeping in view his performance in this field, NABARD is also considering to sanction a proposal to it to some SHG, .As I know non of the shg except one formed by it failed so for .Almost all the SHG”s have been linked with the bank finance and some of these have taken second loan after repayment in time the first loan.
The team working in RUDSOVOT is also very laborious during REDP’S the team stays at the place where the program me is mix then up with the trainees.

The people will participate actively in planning process, implementation and monitoring of the activities. Organizations also believe that the linkages with Government and other NGO are to be helpful for better understanding and guiding to solve the problems.

DDA Community Hall,Gujjar Dairy, Gautam Nagar, New Delhi-110049

Profile:-
PRERNA Social Development and Welfare Society is registered under Societies Registration Act – XXI of 1860. Our organization is a non-profit voluntary organization, engaged in social activities.

Our main objective is to improve the quality of life of the underprivileged and marginalized people. We are determined to replace their despair with hope, their fear with security, and their ignorance with knowledge.

Vision

“Creating a human friendly society in which every individual be self dependent and make their life Prestigious”

Mission

“To provide a better opportunities and alternatives for upliftment of Underprivileged group especially children through better aids”

PRERNA is running six centers by providing non-formal education based on SCERT in the administrate part of the capital, South Delhi namely, Bhatti Mines, Rajpur Khurd and Gautam Puri. The uniqueness of this area is that there is one Government School in each area, running under minimum facilities. The so-called private schools are out of reach for these children. Most of the children are engaged in domestic works for breadwinning. So the majority of the child population, girls are encouraged to engage in domestic works rather than education

Workshop / Capacity Building

Under privilege children are involved in various occupations like – begging, vending, rickshaw pulling, casual labour and rag picking etc. They have to go through a lot of exploitation and harassment at the hands of their employers, police, local goons and general public.
