The Asian Institute of Technology has issued a Call for Proposals under its 2009 Small Grants Competition Program launched in partnership with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). The grant is to “tackle bio-innovation and its social and policy implications for poverty alleviation in the Asian region. NGOs as well as individual researchers can apply under this competition. The program provides grants up to 18,000 CAD. There are also micro-grants available up to CAD 2,000. Application procedure requires prior submission of a letter of intent that clearly introduces the applicant, outlining the research project. Shortlisted applicants will have to submit a full research proposal.
