BRIEF PROFILE: “SPACE”BLIND SCHOOL
With a view to help the poor blind children of this region, SPACE is the only & first non-profit organisation operating, in whole of the Backward Telangana Districts, facilitating a special residential Blind School, providing quality education through Braille Script, in Hanamakonda locality of Warangal Triple City; The “SPACE” Blind School was set up on 2nd February 2003 and was inaugurated by the then, Hon’ble Major Irrigation Minister, Government Of Andhra Pradesh.
Through a well planned survey conducted by its field functionaries, covering the age group of three to fifteen year children, in Warangal District SPACE could locate, 300 Visually Challenged children; Majority of them are from Rural BPL Families & approx. fifty percent are from the BPL Tribal Communities; The parents were found to be sustaining on a daily wage and were indifferent towards needs of their blind wards;
The SPACE Blind School, initially had only two children and gradually, blossomed into, the present position, fulfilling the complete rehabilitation needs of Fifty visually blind students and an additional thirty students, being provided pre-school trainings, at their individual homes, prior to, joining the SPACE Blind School;
On a regular basis, the parents are being given counseling to come out of their depression and cope with the circumstances through guidance and parent meets. The parents are motivated to visit the school regularly to create a confidence among their children towards a bright, self sustaining future;
Despite the fund crunch, the school is being run by “small & considerable” contributions / donations” from kind philanthropists & logistical assistance from the District Administration, in Warangal; Timely financial assistance from kind Donor’s (Government & Non-Government) would go a long way in shaping the future of these physically & visually challenged, besides improving the facilities being provided by “SPACE”;
“SPACE” is very grateful for receiving blessings from the Pontiff of the Datta Peetham – Sri, Sri, Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda Swamiji, of Mysore, who had kindly donated a Braille Printer to “SPACE” Blind School in the presence of H.E. Indian Society for Cow Protection or ISSCOP was registered in Jaisalmer in 2001 under the Rajasthan Societies Act 1958 with registered number 16/Jaisal/2001-2002. Registration Certificate and Memorandum are enclosed in Appendix 1.
ISSCOP’s activities till now were focused on research, practical testing, documentation and formulating solutions (detailed later). With the reconstitution of the Governing Council composed of management and other global professionals related to ISKCON, and new funding sources, ISSCOP is embarking on an implementation plan of its many projects in Rajasthan in a phased manner starting with development of working models of a ideal village” The Virndavan Village”

In Vedic agriculture training programme, we are going to introduce a innovative spiritual methodology- do,learn and earn. We have provide name of this concepts is ” Occupational Therapy” Which is the need of day for those million of semi educated rural youth.
