  10. Dear Director,

Greetings from Mrs. Rajani Suram, Executive Director of Kiranmayi Socio Educational Society(KISES), Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, South India.

KISES is a non profit, non sectarian social service organization working for the development of the downtrodden, vulnerable and poorest of the poor communities in Khammam and Krishna Districts.

We are very glad to introduce ourselves to you as an NGO, which is registered under Telangana areas public societies registration Act 1350(Fasli). We have been in the social field for the past 13 years and we have qualified and committed staffs, who are involved in the social work.

The communities we are operating are Island villages and near to sea coast and are from a minimum distance of 1 Kilo meter to 5 Kilometers and are open to the fury of natural calamities such as cyclones, floods and Tsunami. Our main target groups is poorest of the poor, Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribes and Backward communities in the rural villages and are mainly dependent on fishing in and around sea and work as agriculture labourers. All these communities are very remote and the momentums of development initiatives from various service providers including Government departments are at very slow pace.

Till now our organization mainly focused on Health and Sanitation, women empowerment, bringing health awareness on preventive & promotive aspects, motivating child labour to back to mainstream of education, child rights and child protection, care and support to the HIV/AIDS, training youth in learning employable skills, establishing linkages with Banks & other government departments, improving the habitation conditions such as toilet construction, New houses construction and housing to limited extent and when ever need rises involved in emergency relief, climate change and environment. The past interventions have allowed in building good rapport with various community groups to bring improvement in their situation. But the efforts given till now are very nominal and not very much focused to bring requisite change in the lives of children, families and communities, the main reason being financial constrains.

By considering the situation we have constructed the health centre at one of our operational villages with the support of Tdh, Switzerland and now we are searching for the mobilization of the resources for the running of the health centre. We came to know that you are also supporting for the good social activities especially for the health interventions and we glad to know the same. Now that we propose to work with integrated child centered community development approach which aims at sensitizing the community groups in realizing their potentialities, attaining their rights and there by create demand for services. Besides these we propose to support children, families and communities with certain direct benefits to meet the immediate basic requirements.

At this juncture we are happy to approach your noble organization for your cooperation & financial commitment to bring change in conditions among the poor and marginalized. On hearing from you a positive note we shall submit you the detailed project proposal.

Look forward to hear from you a positive response in this regard.

    Thanking You,

    Yours Sincerely

    Mrs. Rajani Suram.

  14. Du says:

DAR-UL-MUSSARAT Karachi has been working for a long time for the rehabilitation and development of children with special needs in Karachi, especially in Baldia Town – a low income area of Karachi.

It has completed 27 years of its services but DuM-k is fallen in deficit due to the economical recession worldwide and political situation of the county. People do not pay attention towards these special children/persons.

Now present situation of “Dar-ul-Mussarat” Karachi. It is suffering through deficit due to unstable political situation. International community is avoiding to supporting special education and other disabilities in Pakistan. I think it is not the mistake of special kids or person that political environment is getting worst. I don’t know why international organization and communities getting away and keeping their eyes shut from the disabled and poor people in Pakistan.
If this situation persist any more I feel it would be very difficult for us to continue our services for these very special ones. The situation is very critical these days. Even people are dying with hunger after a very bad disaster of flood in Sindh Pakistan.
Here I also will let you know the international communities are withdrawing simply due to political situation. I will ask here that after quitting from special children Pakistan. Will there be a positive change in political situation. Will it improve by itself?
DuM k is with out funding since last 2 years. It has stopped many activities which are very compulsory for the development of theses special ones. Even local community is not very much supportive to special children/person in these circumstances. Now the wise intend is stand up on our own feet. But first we need to strengthen our own feet. It means to have our own income generating program.
We also have plan to establish an English Medium Inclusive Primary School on the top of DuM k, Building. It will be an income generation program of DuM k too. Hopefully it will bear more then 70% of the total expenses DuM k Special children. If we succeed then we have to be less dependent on intercontinental donors. Most of our friends and well wishers appreciated this idea enormously. But now we need resources to fulfill our hallucination to let Dar-ul-Mussarat Karachi to stand on its own feet to let many special children stand on their own feet.
Here I also would like to appreciate my staff really very dedicated to DuM k and special kids in Pakistan still working with very positive psyche even in this worst financial situation at DuM k, n critical political environment in my country. It is my enthusiastic desire that if you could come forward to join DuM k as volunteer or sponsor one of its activates/child on humanitarian bases. I am sure that you will get reward for this act from God almighty.
Please do me this favor to find out some donors to support these programs for the sack of special children Karachi on humanitarian bases. You know that we do not have accessible approach with international donors and grant makers or any personal friends working with them. Even do not get opportunities to visit donor abroad. Mostly it happens due to none availability of funds and sometimes due to other factor.
But we are dedicated to our mission and serving these special kids above the dogma and with out anticipations of any reward from their families. Thus we are committed to this project and through it, to the special children of Baldia Township Karachi, and I sincerely hope to get a positive response for the existing activities as well as sponsorship for the future programs.
You will please find attached: 1. A request for regular funding for monthly activities. 2. One time grant for the construction of the School Building.
    3. Copy of the Registration.
    4. Copy of the brochure.

You will please find attached complete information about DuM-K and further more we are planning to start an inclusive English Medium Primary School and it would be an income generating project of DuM-K too.
May Lord bless your endeavors aiming to serve the humanity and witness the Good News of Jesus Christ!

Please feel free to contact for any further information,

    Thanking you,

  15. sudip chakma says:

Respected sir/madam My name is Sudip chakma from Tuichawng, Mizoram state,India. Before expressing my grief message i would like to introduce my self as a first time from an unknown and distance person. Well, Sir, I am a primary school teacher a village social worker and former president of young chakma association, Zonal Hqrs:Tuichawng, Mizoram.India. I am chakma community from poor and minority backward classes living in mizoram. The chakma’s are mostly illeterate due to lack of financial problems. The chakma’s have their own identity but, the only problem is that, we are minority backward classes in the state of mizoram. I have been searching for education sponsore for the needy child since long and most luckily i have found you today in the internet that you are working in the same field. As such, I would like to pray and request you to be so good as to kindly find some sponsore for the needy child of the poor chakma community in mizoram,India. There are many brrilliant needy child who is very excellent in studies and they are in need of a sponsore. Therefore sir, If you could feel of my inner feeling of kindness for the poor child, please do help them either personelly or find someone out there in your organisation. I am not sending photo of the needy child at this time and i may send you if needed. Humenbeings are not borned in equal as, some are really helpless, some are middle classes and some are borned to the wealthy famillies. But, as a humenbeing we should share our loves and compassion through our firm belief and devotion. Being from poor and minority backward familly, i am also trying to keep helping the needy and helples child both in physically and mentally. I became compelled to write this as because i can not see the problems face by this needy child. There are so many brilliant child who are dropped out from their studies here in my locality due to the lack of poverty. We have also an registered society named as “The Ultimate Truth Preaching Mission” Hqr:Tuichawng,Mizoram,India. The main aim and objective of the society is to promote socio-religious,educational,cultural and economical development for the indegenous poor chakma community in mizoram. Sir, If you can not afford sponsor for the appeal mentioned above could you please make free education for some poor and underpriviledge children in your schools or organization. Kindly please advise me for my grief information. Moreover sir, construction of school, hostel and teachers are also most necessary for the helpless and needy children out here at Tuichawng.

Under the circumstances mentioned above, i do hope in the name of almighty god that considering the urgency of the child needs you will atleast do something in no time.

Hoping to be favoured with a favourable early response.
