The International Fund for Agriculture and Development (IFAD) under its Financial Facility for Remittances (FFR) has announced the call for proposals for the year 2010 on Promoting innovative remittance systems and investment channels. This call specifically seeks to promote access to remittances in rural areas, linking remittances and rural financial services and productions and develop innovative and productive rural investment opportunities for migrants and community-based organizations.
This is an open call for proposals and NGOs, nonprofit institutions, government organizations, private entities and cooperatives or credit unions can submit proposals. Small organizations can collaborate and put up joint proposals for this call. Grants of up $250,000 will be provided per project. For projects that promote mobile banking and mobile transfers thematic window, a maximum amount of $500,000 has been fixed.
The call for proposals has been announced by IFAD in partnership with the European Commission (EC), the Government of Luxembourg, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAE) and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).
The FFR is a US $18 million multi-donor facility. It has been established for the purpose of increasing economic opportunities for the rural poor by supporting, developing and improving various innovative, cost-effective and easily accessible remittance services internationally as well domestically. FFR is working towards linking NGOs and nonprofit organizations with remittance systems and operators so that rural people in developing countries are able to use and apply tools and techniques that not only help them access remittances easily but also use them for sustainable development. In this context, a whole range of services and networks are integrated like private entities, banks, financial intermediaries, money transfer operators, microfinance institutions, financial cooperatives, non-financial institutions, postal networks and philanthropic organizations.

The organization is a non -profit making organ, and was started in 2006,its located at little way primary School, Kawempe-Maganjo parish, Nabweru sub-county Wakiso District Uganda East Africa.
The organ has a registered number of 350 vulnerable children, including those infected with HIV/Aids, orphans, disabled & others. We cater for these children through community outreach although we intend to build up a home..
Our mission is to advocate for the plight of vulnerable children ,through improvement in quality of life through provision of good education, health care, and fight for child rights, i.e Hiv/Aids,disabled,orphaned,children affected by war conflicts, and others.
We have a set of objectives which include;
- Support children infected with HIV/Aids in health, clothing, beddings & scholastic materials.
- To bring up our children in a god fearing and humble, ,and non denominational manner
- Co-ordinate scholarships for them at all levels
- Rural illiteracy transformation,
- Providing shelter for the homeless & disadvantaged children.
- Promote mutual co-operation amongst them & international relationships.
- Promote the girl child education
- Setting up projects for widows.
- Training children in recreational activities i.e. sports & drama e.tc
- Lobbying for development projects for these children in all fields.

- counselling,making home visits,providing them with transport to hospital,provision of food,school reqirements,music,Dance & Dramma,economic empowerment of guardians,community sensitization and mobilasation,VCT, trainning in agricultural techniques for food security,vocational trainning,this work is done by the project cordinator and volunteers both local and international.
b) DISABLED CHILDREN
Provision of phisiotherapy treatment ,provision of Tri-cycles,food, fees,scholarstic requirements,playing materials,tools i.e sewing machines,all are done through the cordinator and volunteers local and abroad
exchanges, workshops, seminars and camps for social groups of different ages on international and local levels.

Social Education and Environment Development Society (SEEDS) is a non profitable, apolitical, non-sectarian and non-governmental civil society development organization. It was established with an aim of lasting positive changes in the lives of neglected, deprived, down trodden, needy, distressed rural communities of Andhra Pradesh. The society has been formed and promoted by the committed and dedicated development workers in the year 1993 and registered under Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with No. 183 of 1993. It is also registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 1976 with No. 010120241 also exempted under section 80G (5) (vi) & 12 AA of Income Tax Act 1969.
The SEEDS has a mission “Sustainable Development of needy, neglected, down-trodden and indigenous communities through result based interventions”. The organisation has implemented various activities like; promotion of women SHGs, Health Programmes on Immunisation, RCH, HIV/AIDS, TB and other communicable diseases Nursery Raising and Plantation programmes in Rural areas, Environmental Education Programmes, Capacity building initiatives to Women SHGs, CBOs and Federations, Organic manure production units and Integrated Pest Management for rain fed crops.
The target area has been experiencing severe drought conditions since nine consecutive years. By assessing the ground realities of the area, there is a great need to plant more trees and protecting environment for better future.

f) To take-up dry land, Agriculture development activities for the poor peoples and small farmers in the villages by providing seeds, agriculture Instruments, manure and trainings etc.

We are a not for profit registered society, we registered on 28-08-2010 at Almora , Uttarakhand (India), under societies registration act 1860. We are presently working in rural drinking water and sanitation in Almora district.
