AWADH SEWA SANSTHAN is a leading voluntary organization registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act 1860 and FCRA.  It is also registered under section 12 A &amp; 80 G of the Income Tax Act. The organization has its headquarters at 11/834, Indira Nagar, Lucknow, U.P. and activities spread in districts of not only Lucknow but also in Barabanki, Faizabad, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Varanasi, Shrawasti, Balrampur, Morabadbad, Sitapur, Chandauli, Shahjahanpur, Kanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Badhohi, Rampur, Raibareli &amp; Kushi Nagar districts in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.  The organization has been working for the twenty (14) years for the welfare of poor and disadvantaged people of the community particularly rural sections of the society through various developmental programmes with the objectives to develop sustainable self-reliant community through their active participation in all our development efforts.  Since its inception the organization has been undertaking several programmes for research studies, surveys, providing better education, vocational training, better health services, inculcating awareness among resource poor for their rights and duties, empowerment of women, promotion of income generating activities, imparting training for capacity building, and formation of self-help groups and support them for their self-reliance.

Programme areas of the organization

Organizational Structure and hierarchy
The AWADH SEWA SANSTHAN consists of 11 Board of members.   President¸ Vice President, Secretary/Manager, Treasurer are the major posts of the organization.  The board meets regularly on quarterly basis.  The board members, besides playing advisory role the organization, are also involved with thematic area of the organization.  The board members have expertise in different field of activities such as Research studies, Education, Health, Vocational training, Handicraft development, Agriculture development and various other Social development activities.  Depending upon the situation as per need they provide their suggestion and support on related issues.
Systems in place for technical and financial management
Regular monthly meetings are conducted every month with the entire project/ office staff. All programmatic decisions are taken in the monthly meetings. These meetings are conducted in a participatory manner and collective decision-making is done in all organizational matters. Reporting relationship is also maintained both upwards and downwards with regular flow of information. The board also reviews the work of the organization and gives necessary directions based on feedbacks from field offices.  

As far as financial management is concerned, AWADH SEWA SANSTHAN guided by transparency in operations, and accounts are maintained in systematic manner at all levels. Monthly financial statement is prepared to monitor the financial status of each project. All the accounts (Cash book and ledgers) are maintained on daily basis. For different projects, separate books of accounts are maintained and the same are audited by an external auditor.
Networking of the organization
The organization has developed strong networking with various voluntary organizations working in throughout the country and has also established very good rapport with various Government and other departments/ agencies. It has got adequate technical and managerial strength to provide guidance and give technical assistance to these voluntary organizations.

Infrastructure Capacity
Human resources 
The organization has a team of 31 staff members (Both full time and part time) who are qualified, competent, and experienced in the field of health and family welfare, Education &amp; Vocational training, Women empowerment, Agriculture Development. Their long and broad experience has been found helpful in the successful implementation of the programmes. In addition, it has a team of qualified vocational instructors, MIS persons and highly experienced consultants, who can manage, direct and control any development programme with ease. A computerized MIS system has been designed and is in place. Further, a team comprising 15 volunteers of the organization fortifies the implementation of programmes.  Exponential growth in the number of volunteers is encouraged and any shortage of the same is not allowed to impede the implementation of programmes in any way.


Physical resources 
The organization has its headquarters at 11/834, Indira Nagar, Lucknow and Programme offices are located at different programme districts which assist project implementation and are venues for meeting/ training purpose. Head office and programme offices are well equipped with necessary office-equipments and furniture’, manpower, training materials and related paraphernalia.

The organization is actively working in districts (Barabanki, Faizabad, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Varanasi, Shrawasti, Balrampur, Morabadbad, Sitapur, Chandauli, Shahjahanpur, Kanpur, Badhohi, Rampur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Raibareli &amp; Kushi Nagar &amp; Lucknow) of the State of Uttar Pradesh for the last 15 years. It has taken up various developmental programmes for providing income generation activities, capacity-building trainings, and activities to develop education, agriculture, women empowerment and health.   It is a matter of credit for the organization that its activities through various programmes have reached more than five lakh of people particularly of the weaker sections of the rural and urban areas and made commendable changes in their living conditions. This has been made possible by the community-led development programmes and networking of NGOs working in the related areas besides various other factors put in by the organization.<br />

<p>Organizational Structure and hierarchy<br />
The AWADH SEWA SANSTHAN consists of 11 Board of members.   President¸ Vice President, Secretary/Manager, Treasurer are the major posts of the organization.  The board meets regularly on quarterly basis.  The board members, besides playing advisory role the organization, are also involved with thematic area of the organization.  The board members have expertise in different field of activities such as Research studies, Education, Health, Vocational training, Handicraft development, Agriculture development and various other Social development activities.  Depending upon the situation as per need they provide their suggestion and support on related issues.<br />
Systems in place for technical and financial management<br />
Regular monthly meetings are conducted every month with the entire project/ office staff. All programmatic decisions are taken in the monthly meetings. These meetings are conducted in a participatory manner and collective decision-making is done in all organizational matters. Reporting relationship is also maintained both upwards and downwards with regular flow of information. The board also reviews the work of the organization and gives necessary directions based on feedbacks from field offices.  </p>
<p>As far as financial management is concerned, AWADH SEWA SANSTHAN guided by transparency in operations, and accounts are maintained in systematic manner at all levels. Monthly financial statement is prepared to monitor the financial status of each project. All the accounts (Cash book and ledgers) are maintained on daily basis. For different projects, separate books of accounts are maintained and the same are audited by an external auditor.<br />
Networking of the organization<br />
The organization has developed strong networking with various voluntary organizations working in throughout the country and has also established very good rapport with various Government and other departments/ agencies. It has got adequate technical and managerial strength to provide guidance and give technical assistance to these voluntary organizations.</p>

The organization has a team of 31 staff members (Both full time and part time) who are qualified, competent, and experienced in the field of health and family welfare, Education &amp; Vocational training, Women empowerment, Agriculture Development. Their long and broad experience has been found helpful in the successful implementation of the programmes. In addition, it has a team of qualified vocational instructors, MIS persons and highly experienced consultants, who can manage, direct and control any development programme with ease. A computerized MIS system has been designed and is in place. Further, a team comprising 15 volunteers of the organization fortifies the implementation of programmes.  Exponential growth in the number of volunteers is encouraged and any shortage of the same is not allowed to impede the implementation of programmes in any way.</p>

The organization has its headquarters at 11/834, Indira Nagar, Lucknow and Programme offices are located at different programme districts which assist project implementation and are venues for meeting/ training purpose. Head office and programme offices are well equipped with necessary office-equipments and furniture’, manpower, training materials and related paraphernalia.<br />
