It has been in the service of the church and society since 1926, engaging in the role of leadership, representing the Indian Lutheran churches in the global forum, initiating ecumenical endeavours and making every effort to live the gospel of Jesus Christ in reality in the midst of struggles. The Women in Church and Society (WICAS) is a wing of UELCI established in the year 1975, which primarily caters to the needs of women in the church and society, struggling towards a paradigm shift for Gender Justice. An extension of WICAS is Slum Women’s Advancement Program (SWAP), this body engages primarily in the empowerment of women and children of the urban and suburban slums, to create a just society with socio-political and economic equities and equalities.

Respected Madam/Sir,
SUSTAINABLE HEALTH AND MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT is a grass-root level voluntary organisation engaging in rural development activities. Especially, we concentrate on women self groups and organised more than 200 SHGs in Kilpennathur Block,Tiruvannamalai District. Although there are various types of micro-entrepreneurship trainings have been provided to these SHGs, the women doesn’t acquire leadership and literacy in legal issues and support for these women. Hence it is absolute necessacity to provide them legal education and women rights and privileges. Now we proposed to start legal education classes for rural women in this region. But as a grass-root level organisation ,we need financial assistance and support of experts like lawyers and magistrates to conduct these legal education classes.
Hence we hereby request your goodself to send us any application or guidelines to submit a proposal to your esteemed organisation seeking grant-in-aid.
Solicit your esteemed co-operation and support,
Looking forward to your valuable response
