Objectives:

To campaign and create awareness for safe environment and pollution & accident free work place, to implement OSH (occupational safety & health) rules & and labour rights at every workplace.

To do advocacy for establishing OSH (occupational safety & health) rights as one of the fundamental rights in Indian constitution.

To defend the interest of the workers belong to BPL & APL families and construction & unorganized sectors, marginalized & downtrodden communities like tribe, dalit, backward casts, minority communities, children, women and urban & rural poor.

To promote awareness program among the labourers and communities against any discrimination or unlawful steps based on caste, creed, religion, language, nationality and gender etc.
To organize OSH victims and their family members in a separate association or as a branch organization of the association and to support their legitimate demands.

To establish & run ODDC (Occupational Diseases Diagnosis Centre), clinical laboratories, patients & trauma care centre for the workers and Community and also to do advocacy for opening up of ODDC in district level government & Employees State Insurance Hospitals.

To organise educational and awareness rising camps, workshops, meetings & seminars on basic human rights, like human health & lives, OSH & labour, environment, land & housing, water, forest, energy, natural resources rights, natural ecosystems and carry out study, research and action on these issues.

To undertake developmental and promotional programs especially for the trade based and artisan communities who are basically working people of the society. To promote bio-farming to save the health & lives of the agricultural labourers, farmers, community and to save the nature earth.

To establish, control and manage training institutions, libraries, documentation centre, other training facilities, residential quarters for training staffs, printing press, printing, publishing books, journals, periodicals, papers, advertisements, reports, lectures, pamphlets, magazines, documents.

To establish units to develop and design low cost pollution monitoring & control equipments, worker’s safety and life saving items and to undertake promotional activities for the cause of the society & furthering of the objectives of the association.

To form stakeholders groups/committees as collaborative approach to work together with governments, institutions and other agencies for ethical & environment friendly planning & production process for zero mortality (due to diseases and mishaps) rate at every work place and for the reduction of impact on post productive landform, bionetwork and human health & lives. To assist local, state & central govt. and international agencies in policymaking and development efforts related to environment, OSH (occupational safety & health) and community & labour rights. Also to formulate policies on various related issues as policy interventions those are acceptable by the community and governments for the welfare of the working people & community of the society.

To form or to be part of local, regional, national, Asian or international alliance to exert its continuous effort for implementation of the recommendations of ILO’s (International Labour 0rganisation) conventions, guide line of World Health Organisation on OSH (occupational safety & health) and UN charter of human rights. And to work as project partner with national & international institutions, governments and NGOs on different development & social security of the workers & community and for study & research and activities on occupational safety health and other related aforesaid issues for the betterment of the society.

Activites:

Campaign & awareness rising for silicosis prevention programme and for the compensation & rehabilitation for the silicosis victims and their family members in jharkhand.

OSHAJ initiated a RTI process on the report, that revealed of not having cases of silicosis in jharkhand, submitted to National Human Rights Commission by Jharkhand government on 1st May 2008.

Stakeholders committee formation on hazardous mine waste(asbestos and chromite) of abandoned Roro Asbestos Mines to decide upon possible solution.

Awareness rising programme in farmers in Patamda block of Jharkhand on use and harmful impact of chemical fertilizers and pecticides.

OSH committee formation in Sponge iron Industry.

Initiated a process for formation of a national network on OSH like Rising Occupational Safety & Health Network of India (ROSHNI )

    I am secretary of the Manzil (NGO) based in Madhupur,Jhakhand.Manzil is registered under society registration Act 21, 1860 jharkhand Government, India working with tribal, minorities communities, and seduled cast specilly Below poverty line family for their holistic development. I am seeking financial assistant for communities development.
    So, if possible provided some financila assistant for communities development and organization development.
