The Sanghamithra Service Society (SSS) is registered under society Act 1860(Act, ACP.XX1 of 1860) with registration number 268/2001 and also registered under 12A under the Income Tax, and having with permanent Account Number (PAN), SSS is registered under FCRA registration with home affairs its registration number: 010140408

Sanghamithra Service Society (SSS) is a non-governmental Organization working for the socio-economic, educational and health development of the poorest communities and also working for the protection and promotion of the women, children and vulnerable sections in the society.

II. Main focus of the Organization:

Vision:
Achieving self reliant civil society and development social justice gender equity and Eco balance are as its prime components.

Mission:
The mission of the SSS is to empower down tradom segments of the community through bringing awareness, organizing and protecting and promoting the rights of the vulnerable sections of the society.

Aims and Objectives:

? To initiate empowerment process among the marginalized sections of the society in Chittoor District through an integrated approach of awareness, organization, human and natural resources development process.
? To promote peoples participation at all levels right from planning in the entire development process
? To achieve gender balance specially empowering women in all the necessary areas.
? To initiate eco-friendly programs as an alternative to the modern development programs which are destroying nature/environment
? To network with the like minded NGOs peoples organizations, Departments of Government, Corporate Sectors and other Service Sectors, in order to bring policy change, in favor of poor in the development programs and policies.
? Protecting human rights of the indigenous and Dalith communities.
? Networking with like minded NGO’s for promotion of human rights and sustainable management of Natural resources.

The SSS strives to promote women’s empowerment and village republic through collective action against poverty and patriarchy for peace and justice.

1.14 Briefly describe procedures (in case there is a procedures handbook, please send us a copy) for managing the organization and decision making:

The Organization has been structured by three types of management bodies called board of Directors, advisory team and staff team. The board of Directors are the main policy decision making body and giving direction to the organization for which all the decisions has to be approved by the executive members/Directors. Once the programs finalized, the staff team is responsible for implementing the approved activities and has to report whenever required to the board. The board meets on regular basis and minimum four times in a year are having meetings, reflections, finding the outcomes, planning for the future.

1.15 Role of Board of Trustees:

The Executive members of organization meet on regular basis and discuss the past, present and future and also involve in planning, monitoring, review and system management of the organization. They also prepare the annual financial reports, approve annual plan and programs budget for submission in board meetings. The advisory team gives suggestions for promoting the organization and protecting the rights of the marginalized and also supports for all the programs run by the organization. The staff team implements the project activities with the coordination of the president/Director of the organization.
