STEER FOUNDATION is a national level; non-governmental, non-profitable organization registered under section XXI of Indian societies registration act of 1860 founded in 1994. The society is also registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) act 1976 with the Ministry of Home affairs, Government of India, New Delhi and registered under section 12A & 80G with Director of Income tax (E), Government of India.

Steer Foundation takes up the challenges to uplift the weaker section of the society and its main working areas are women, children and old age persons by way of various programs in high priority in the field of child development, education, health, environment, community development, human right awareness, woman empowerment. It promotes the activities for through rural development programs, including safe drinking water in rural habitants.

GOAL

The goal of the organization is to mobilize the youth as vibrant human resource for the overall development of weaker and marginalized sections. The organization works against all forms of social injustice and exploitation. The organization strengthens efforts for promoting sustainable and equitable social development. The STEER focuses on the motivation and mobilization of youth of the weaker sections, unemployed youth, street and child labour by community Development program and reviving inherited Art & Culture. It also focuses on rehabilitation centers meant for destitute women, old age person’s health care center, environment and education of youths in the unorganized sectors of Indian societies.

OBJECTIVES

To achieve social justice to safeguards human rights.

To promote research, development and adaptation of science and technology for improving quality of life of human beings.

To encourage initiative, flexibility and adoptability, the personal equalities, which are conducting to greater empowerment behavioral change and access to wider range of livelihood opportunities.

To propagate awareness and necessity for the protection and conservation of the environment and thereby promote the cause of sustainable development and precautionary principles through proper understanding.

Research activities in the field of education, economic, social, cultural, human rights, women rights, children of the refugees and minorities.

These activities are conducted in the form of holding educational courses, practical workshops, expertise, roundtable, conducting research projects and providing legal counseling.

To aid in humanitarian relief program.

Tackle discrimination through education.

Eradication of sexism, gender inequalities and feminization of poverty.

Working to develop and promote creative responses to the global challenges.

To promote gender-sensitive planning at all levels of society.
